Before the days of Poutine, Pints and Plaid, the Rotaract Club held a yearly gala. It started as the Daffodil Gala in support of the Canadian Cancer Society, but over the years, the name and the beneficiary of each gala have changed.
The galas specifically were attracting an audience older than members of our Rotaract Club and the style of event made it difficult to sell tickets to our friends. Overtime Poutine, Pints and Plaid replaced the galas.
Although the galas are no longer apart of our regular fundraising activity, it is important to note that at the time they were successful and an important part of our fundraising.
