Up The Creek Without a PADDLE

Up the Creek Without a PADDLE was the first event ever organized by the Rotaract Club of North Bay-Nipissing. Over the past 12 years, the event has raised over $260,000, as of 2022, for the PADDLE program in North Bay.

The concept is simple; we collaborate with the North Bay Canoe Club, which always graciously donates paddles, dragon boats and life jackets. Participants, who have pre-registered, are sent out onto Trout Lake in a dragon boat without a paddle. The participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of $1,000 to purchase their paddle to help get their boat back to shore. We have been lucky enough to have participants who raise way beyond the $1,000 goal.
